Corruption – How do we tackle it in the maritime industry?

08.10.2014 @ 09:00 - 11:00

Danish Shipowners’ Association is pleased to invite you to a seminar on:

Corruption – How do we tackle it in the maritime industry?

Corruption has become a central theme on the political agenda in the recent years as it is seen as an obstacle to sustainable development. This has resulted in tighter and more far-reaching regulation against corruption and urged companies to adopt anti-corruption strategies. Shipping companies operate globally and they may therefore be highly exposed to different forms of corruption in different parts of the world – including countries where demands for facilitation payments are embedded in the culture. This seminar will shed light on the challenges that shipping companies face as a global industry and how we tackle corruption by working together.
