More than 50 events addressing maritime challenges and solutions illustrate that Danish Maritime Days is the place to be in the week of 6-10 October 2014 if you want to be a part of shaping the global maritime industry going forward.
Green shipping, human resources, e-technologies, security and piracy, international trade and development, Arctic shipping, financing, education, offshore shipping, global regulation, and corporate social responsibility. These are some of the topics that will be discussed when a broad spectrum of stakeholders from across the maritime industry meet in and around Copenhagen and throughout Denmark for the inaugural Danish Maritime Days.
“Danish Maritime Days is a major new event for the global maritime industry and with more than 50 diverse events in the pipeline including company visits, symposia, exhibitions, briefings and conferences it will cover some of the most important topics in the industry in just one week”, says Flemming R. Jacobs Secretary General of Danish Maritime Days.
The different events will appear in the calendar of events on the www.danishmaritimedays.com website as they take shape.
A global platform for collaboration across sectors
By creating a platform for collaboration across sectors, Danish Maritime Days will be an opportunity to meet with stakeholders from the entire global maritime value chain to discuss strategic challenges and innovative solutions in a new thinking context.
“Many of the challenges facing the global maritime industry call for broad collaboration. This is why Danish Maritime Days will bring together ship owners, shipyards, ports, investors, suppliers, brokers, lawyers, ship management, insurance, customers and various service providers as well as government officials and other important stakeholders and opinion shapers to generate new ideas and solutions to some of the most important challenges facing the industry”, says Jacobs.
In this way Danish Maritime Days will be a chance to get inspired by stakeholders from different sectors, to make new connections and to build new partnerships.
On the basis of an open invitation, all events throughout the week are organized as individual events but are coordinated by the Danish Maritime Days Secretariat.
“We invite all stakeholders in the industry from around the world to plan events as part of Danish Maritime Days to take advantage of the synergies that arise from participation in a larger platform of independent, international maritime events”, says Jacobs
In continuation of this, organisations such as BIMCO, INTERTANKO and ESCA are planning meetings during Danish Maritime Days to benefit from the platform and the opportunity to bring together their key constituents.
We look forward welcoming you to take part in shaping the future of the global maritime industry.
